At Heritage Volkswagen Catonsville, we know that there are many different reasons that drivers are drawn to Volkswagen vehicles. For many drivers, these cars offer a different take on the importance of unique style, and we're right behind them. The Volkswagen brand certainly has a look of its own, and we think that is one major reason why its partnership with the Museum of Modern Art (MoMA) in New York City is such a great opportunity to influence and inspire art enthusiasts the world over.
Recently, MoMA added a large selection of online education courses, including a new course focused on the history and artistic importance of photography. Volkswagen Group of America is a lead partner for the MoMA education program and made its mark on the new catalog by supporting production of course content that is currently available via Coursera at no charge.
Titled "Seeing Through Photographs," the course is available in six modules and features 48 photographers who have made a notable impact on the growth and development of photography in the last 180 years. Course participants will discover details behind the content of well-known photographs and, through interviews featuring top photographers as well as MoMA curators, will learn the importance of origin, processing and circulation to the featured photographic works.
"Seeing Through Photographs" is the fourth course launch that has seen the support of the Volkswagen brand. The partnership with MoMA and MoMA PS1 began in 2011 in an effort for Volkswagen Group of America to better engage in art and culture as part of the brand's commitment to social responsibility.
If you're an art lover, we hope that you consider logging on to learn a little something about the world of photography, and we hope to see you at our Baltimore, MD Volkswagen dealership soon!
