The brakes, air filters, tires, and battery are typically all checked. If your vehicle has a computer, that is also examined as it can give a more comprehensive diagnostic report.
Once the inspection is complete, your service tech will tell you what if anything was found. For example, let’s say you came in for an oil change, and your service tech discovered that your air filter and your brakes need to be replaced.
This does not mean that you need to have this done right now. Instead, you can decide to have this done at a later date, or by a different mechanic entirely.
