A Closer Look at the 2018 Volkswagen Atlas

If you’re looking for Volkswagen cars in MD, we suggest you head over to our VW dealership to check out the latest Volkswagen models in our new car inventory. When you do, you’ll see that we have body styles that can accommodate just about any lifestyle.

One vehicle that’s gotten a lot of attention since it arrived at our Volkswagen dealership is the 2018 Volkswagen Atlas. The new Volkswagen Atlas was designed and built specifically to satisfy the tastes of American motorists. A midsize, three-row crossover, the new Volkswagen Atlas sits between the 2018 Volkswagen Tiguan and the 2018 VW Touareg in the Volkswagen brand’s lineup.

The 2018 Volkswagen Atlas is offered in five nice-looking, comfortable trims, the S, SE, SE w/technology, SEL, and SEL Premium. The first four trims are eligible for two engines, a four-cylinder engine that produces 235 horsepower and 258 lb-ft of torque and a V6 engine that generates 276 horsepower and 258 lb-ft of torque. The top trim is only available with the V6 engine.

Every new VW Atlas is equipped with an eight-speed automatic transmission. Each trim except the SEL Premium model comes with standard front-wheel drive with all-wheel drive being available as an option. The SEL Premium is only offered with all-wheel drive.

No matter which trim you buy or lease from our Baltimore, MD Volkswagen dealership, your crossover will be a well-appointed automobile. On the base trim, you’ll find power mirrors, a rearview camera, and LED headlights. The S trim also has a standard 6.5-inch touchscreen, Apple CarPlay™, Android Auto™, and Bluetooth™ connectivity. If you step up to the SE trim, your crossover will also come with automatic headlights, a blind spot monitor, and a push-button start, as well.
