A Look at the Upcoming Volkswagen Beetle

You don’t have to wait any longer to see the upcoming Volkswagen Beetle. That’s because this spunky automobile is one of the latest VW vehicles to arrive at our Volkswagen dealership near Ellicott City, MD.

The new Volkswagen Beetle is available in two body styles, a two-door coupe that has a hatch and a convertible that has a power soft top. Both body styles come in multiple trims.

The newest Volkswagen Beetle is eligible for two two-liter, four-cylinder engines. The standard engine in the S, SE, SEL, Coast, and Dune trims generates 174 horsepower and 184 lb.-ft. of torque. This engine is matched with a six-speed automatic transmission. The engine in the R-Line trim produces 210 horsepower and 207 lb.-ft. of torque. This engine is paired with a six-speed, dual-clutch automatic transmission.

Coupe models have 15.4 cubic feet of cargo space behind the second row. With their seats folded down, VW Beetle coupes have 29.9 cubic feet of cargo room. Convertible models have 7.1 cubic feet of cargo space.

When you visit our Baltimore-area VW dealership, you’ll see that even the base trim of the 2018 Volkswagen Beetle is a well-equipped vehicle. The base model has standard 16-inch alloy wheels, a five-inch touchscreen, Bluetooth connectivity, a rearview camera, a rear spoiler, and automatic headlights.

The higher trims have even more standard equipment. The SE model has bigger wheels, Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, a larger touchscreen, keyless entry and ignition, heated front seats, and a second glove box. On an SEL model, you’ll enjoy a panoramic sunroof in coupe models, navigation, parking sensors, a blind spot monitor, and a rear cross-traffic alert. The Dune trim has front sport seats, LED taillights, and a raised suspension while the R-Line model has a sport suspension and HID headlights.
